’On the Fly’ component assembly (?)

dagarber

New member
Hey guys, I would like to know how to confront a situation where I want to assemble a component using 'on the fly' features; for example, I would like to place a component based onitsintersectionwith thecurved wall ofanother component; the only solution that comes to mind is to create a datum feature at the intersection point, but this is not possible when assembling. So what do you do?

My current solution involved a circular reference, and I would like to do better... thanks for your help ;)

Ok, but if that is not possible? like if the component is already created?

For me, in this situation, it is actually very easy to recreate one of the components. But that can't be the only solution, there must be a way to do this with 2 components that have already been created.
