3/4 quarter section

I have a cylinderical assembly and I would like to show it in assembly mode as a 3/4 section alon gthe axis.I am able to show it as a half section using "view manager/Xsec" but I cant seem to work out how to do a 3/4 section. Can someone please explain who to do this?

Thanks in advance,

HB

Thanks Kuncar,

That sorted that problem out, thanks, now that introduces another wish for me. I would now like to show an isometric 3/4 section view (as explained above), but now would like to exclude some of the components from the section and show them in full.

Yes, that it !! Basically I have a 3/4 section of a telescope and I would like to show the lenses completely but section throught just the telescope body. How did you do the section in your post ?

View > Modify View > View Type (pick view) > Section > done > Local > done > select cross section > select the center point for a breakout to section > sketch a spline...

Assembly cut might be a good idea. Then you can choose which parts that will be affected by the cut. In your case the lenses will be uncut, but the rest cut...

Hope it helps!

OK, I've followed what you said, I'm using WF2, so it was slightly different than mentioned. But I got it to work.

What I would like to do is cut throught the tube of the telescope to show the inside components but I dont want to cut through the internal components.

I must be close now. Is assembly cut the same as view manager/Xsec in the modeling environment?

Thanks in advance, HB

Ok there isn't option in xsec to pick which part you don't wont to cut and which one you want (well this is real dumb I must say, and I hope that in W3 this will be possible), only thing you can do is exclude component but then this only works for drawing (2D view) (also another dumb thing). (and if I'm wrong about this pleas someone share a light on this problem to me, and others as well).
There is way to create that what you wish but is rather a long way around.
So here it is:
Create assembly cut (this is the same thing like any other cut, Extrude, cut, sketch yours cutting profile and finish extrude cut). Before finishing you got option Intersect, there you can pick which parts you don't wont to cut.
This is it your cut is finish!
If you want to show hatching then you must do this:
Sketch for every single component that was cut, one curve (just pick cut part for reference and sketch curve along cut boundaries), in sketch Properties you got option Hatching turn it on and you will have yours hatching.
I know this is a lot o work but then this is only way to create what you need.
Hope it helps
