5-sided part won’t flatten???

The red highlight is the first wall created. I've had to design this part around an existing part in an assembly. Space was limited and I litterally do not have room for large inside corners. So I read that if you at least place a .0001 radius in the corners, the part should flatten out. I believe I have .001 radius's in all corners. I keep getting this error "WARNING: Model for a variable reference pattern is missing." I don't understand this because there are no patterns in this model. I still need to add 5 flanges on the bottom perimeter for fastening the part down.

Can somebody see if they can flatten this part for me? Or at least tell me why this part will not flatten?

Thanks!

Set radius to 0 and flatten it. The 0.001 radius you have now causes geometry checks and this is probably why it can not flatten.

Hai Jtuttle

Try giving larger corner relief at the end where the three bends are intersecting. If not possible, Try giving a cut there and flatten it.

I tried setting the radius to 0 before attempting to add a corner relief. It worked just fine! Thanks for the help guys!

Try bigger radius and O valve

SANJEEV,

You are right... After replying to you I checked it on my computer by creating a rib and then unbending the part. Flatten form does not work for a RIB feature....

Give me your shoulder... to cry on...

OK.... Having cried, HOW DO WE TACKLE THIS PROBLEM? by Drawing draft entities...? or by deform area...(I am yet to understand the concept of deform area) Perhaps a mental block.
