Dear Friends,

I am Ramu working on WF2.I have a non linear curve (Turbine Blade Profile).I want to put 100 datum points on that curve by using offset coordinate system option. If i put a point array option, points are coming on that cuve but i am unable to get the pointsfile w.r.t CSY.How to put the cartezean coordinates thru the curve. Please give me the solution friends.

Curve is available. wanted cartizean coordinates on that curve.

Bye

create points and use option offset coordinate system then import your points listed in a file but in .ibl format. Conversely you can put all your points in this dialogue box and save the date as .ibl file.

But as far as your case of turbine blade is concerned you need to do the following command sequence

Insert-->Advanced-->Blend from File--> select Coordinate system and then the .ibl file containing this points data.

This way you will get perfect Turbine Blade Profile.

I hope this helps.

Dear Israr.

Thank youvery much for immediate respond. My problem is, I want to generate the cartizean coordinates from the existing curve.Points data is not available.I want to generate the coordinates file.from the available curve. How is it possible?

Yours,

Ramu

Create a point on the curve..length ratio enter zero for value..pattern the point value .01...101 times okay thats a ratio of the line

if your need is to have the points at increments from a plane , every certain distance then offset the plane>create a point Curve X Srf >group the point and the plane and pattern that

create a drawing and use hole table to get the point values out based on the co-ord sys you want to use...you may not get the order you want on the table but you should be able to correct that in excel

btw what's Capture.zip?
