"Add inner edge tangency"

Hi all,

do you know the function of the "Add inner edge tangency" option in boundaryblend tool?

I have read the help file : "Sets the tangent inner edge condition for one or both directions of a blended
surface. This condition applies only to surfaces with multisegment boundaries.
You can create a blended surface with patches that are tangent across inner
edges. In some cases, when geometry is complex, dihedral angles at inner edges
may deviate from zero." but I could not understand what is meant.

Could any of you give me an example for the usage of this option?

A few images to share the idea of inner edges of a surface are all tangent to the inner tangency lines. The highlighted surface is the outer ring of a cushion of sorts.
