Ambiguous Sketch

I attempted to change a first features direction and the error "Section regeneration failed. Ambiguous sketch." came up. So, I went into the sketch, and get the error "Unable to regenerate section with current 3D references;using old geometry". All looks well, but I cannot do anything in the sketch. I attempt to delete some of the "use edge" geometry or the reference for the geometry and get the error "The highlighted section entities became disconnected." Then, I find out I am stuck in the sketcher and cannot get out of it. The references need updating. I attempt to update the references and get the error "Could not update selected reference. Try to delete missing references first.". I am stuck in a continuous loop. Yay Wildfire. Way to go PTC. The new interface sucks. I have stay on top boxes that take up half of my screen, the sketcher keeps re-orienting because I made a wrong mouse click, some things workthe newway, some work the old way. I could go on and on. Thanks for the kludge.
There has to be a better way of creating 3D models. I have never seen horizontal modeling in practice, but have come to believe this parent/child way of modeling is not working and is not getting any better. I know what I want, why can't I simply not do it? Why do I have to keep fighting the software? Perhaps PTC should stop worrying about the interface (was it broke in 2001?) and concentrate on a better modeling system?
My companiesmodels have been compromised so badly through time, I was putting a radii on one side and Pro put the radii in on both sides of the model. There is no solid connection between the sides.
Anyone have a solution to my continuous loop situation above, please reply

I figured out how to get it to work. After changing direction of the protrusion and the surface I wanted it to come off of, I had to use the control key and choose every entity that used "Use Edge", then delete them all. The feature would then regenerate properly after re-selecting the edges.

Yea I am currently making the transition to WF2.0 from 2001.....The CTRL to make more than one selection is kinda hard to get used to, but seems to work better now that I am used to it.....

Glad you got the problem fixed though.
