Array on surface?

Hello,

I'm currently modeling a tail light and I'm trying to make the bumps on the back of the glass.

I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on the best way to do this

by the way, the "bumps" in the screenshot are wayyy too deep

maybe you can do so in a rendering program using a bump map.?

To do so in SW seems pretty complicated to me..

Though if someone has a technique for this I would love to hear about it.

Soljarag,

You can pattern them as you appeared to already have done from the screenshot. You can use curves to guide your pattern if its not a normal array in one direction. What way have you constructed the bumps so far? Somtimes it's better to do the pattern first and then cut away before creating the main shape, or maybe use some surfacing. Do you have the part which you could take a photo of and post or is this a part you're manufacturing?
