Assembly Relations

Hi Everyone,

I am having major issues with driving/driven relations in an assembly. I need to have a variable size rod (10mm & 3/8") and a hole in a cylinder cap center that varies accordingly and allows for 0.1mm oversize tolerance to allow easy movement.

I have tried going through tools>relations but no matter which way I drive the relation it seems that it locks the hole in the cylinder cap center and allows me to change the rod size at will (I tried going larger to 12mm but all that happened was I had a 12mm rod in a 10mm hole - not ideal). I refresh at every step of the way but it seems to make no difference to the diameter of the hole in the cylinder cap center.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Have you used a sketched hole or a tapped thru hole with the thread removed?

If the latter, you will need to add the config option

hole_diameter_override yes

If not, we would need more information about the hole & rod setup, as well as the relations you have tried.
