Assembly Save a Copy

New member
Hi guys,

I saved a copy of an assembly, closed the original one and erased memory.

So when I try to open the new copied one, it goes to Failure Mode, due to missing components.

I tried to include the containing folder on my search_path and set it as Working Directory, but nothing works.

Does anyone knows how to prevent it from happening?

Cheers !

Try doing a "Backup" instead (FILE-BACKUP) so you get all the parts. Otherwise, you will only copy the one assembly file.

now as u already coppied

do the following thing

open the assembly

when it goes to the faliure mode go for find component

now go to the old dirctory in which u have the parts and assembly and select the missing parts

when u finish this process do back up of all the parts which u have just resolved to the new folder

the other tricky way is to set the old folder as u r working directory and open the new assembly which you have saved

Thanks for replying !

I want keepreference to original parts, sothe new assemblywould follow changes made to those parts, and that why I can

Create a search path to the original parts in your config.pro file (or create a search path file & add it's location to the config.pro)
