AutoCAD Files in PDM Link

I am in process of setting up our new PDM Link database. We need to be able to manage AutoCAD data as well as PROE stuff as we do in Intralink 3.4. Has anyone else out there gone through this process yet?


1. I need to know if you make a new type using the type manager for autocad files and are they classed as documents or CAD documents in PDM Link?


2. Are there any other peculiarities that I should know about handling this file type in PDM Link?
