"autoscaling" sketcher dimensions

Hi everyone,

I apologize if this has been asked before, but how do you control the display of dimensions in the sketcher. I will place the dimensions where I want them in order to see the entire dimension scheme clearly. The problem I run into is if I go back into the sketch later, or zoom in for example, the dimensions will all be lumped together in a mess that is hard to read. I'm used to IDEAS where the dimensions will stay where I placed them. How do you guys keep your sketch dimensions clean and also, how do you edit the display (ex. leader to the left, etc.)?

Thanks !!

I'm not having this issue with my sketcher, dimensions stay where they are placed even while zooming. They autoscale somewhat to keep the text size the same while zooming but that's about it. It's possible there's a config setting to control dimension placement, I'll see if I can find anything. You can not really adjust any of the properties of the dimension (except for placement) until you get into drawing mode or model annotations.

As a general rule of thumb your sketches shouldn't be any more complex than 15 or so dimensions, that should help with clutter. If you're properly using sketcher constraints this shouldn't be hard to accomplish.
