Aux view on different sheet than parent

Id like to add an auxiliary view to a drawing sheet on a different sheetthan the sheet that the parent view resides on. Is there a work around for this?

select the aux view

edit > move item to sheet

Now, is there a way to display the view name, without 'faking it in' as I've done in the past?

Before moving it to another sheet, select the aux view. Right-click, then add arrows. Make sure to move your arrows where you want them before moving the aux view to another sheet.

OK. The view namewill beindicated at the arrows, however, it not at the view. The reader will be pointed to a view that's not labeled. In the past, I've just created a plain text note and related that to the aux view. There doesn't appear to be any access to the view_name parameter. Is there a config settting so that a note is created, like with projection views? It seems silly that projection views have this functionality when, as I see it, it is least needed there.

Additionally, I can't find a good way to insert the location callout with the aux. arrows. Again, I can create anote but not attach it the way I think it should be...

Thanks!

When you go to the view's properties, there is a box containing the view's name. Simply change the name of the view and the arrow's view name will update.

Thanks, contour! I hadn't thought to try that.

(Make projection view, then change to aux in view properies dialoge box, view_name note stays!)
