Hello all,

I need to know if it is possible in pro/e to insert axis
system instead of planes (top, front and right) and how can I do it?

I might be able to help, but I do not know what an "axis system" is. Could you please explain it to me.

it sounds like he wants to insert three orthogonal axes instead of three default planes.

Make one template with all the data you wanted, and insert that in the proe default installation folder.

You cannot create an axis without at least one datum plane and a point, or two datum planes. Besides, without datum planes, how do you create any future features?

You cannot create an axis from a coord system, besides you cannot insert anything before the first feature in Wildfire.

Not sure why you would want to do this but it could be done using the axis features from an imported file. The attached part file axis_template.prt was createdfrom a neutral file. The original file was a proe part file with 4 base features. One datum coordinate, 3 planes, and 3 datum axis. This was saved as a neutral file. Then imported back into the proe part file. After which the imported feature was redefined and the planes where deleted. The file was saved with only 3 lines, and a datum coordinate. View attachment 2281

Thanks for your answerers. I am looking for something like
in this picture (Catia V5). When I start a new part I want all planes to be in
hidden mode and only axis system to be visibleand (if it is possible) to use XoY
XoZ and YoZ planes from the axis system (like in Catia V5).

Dbrainsky, can I modify the dimension of
the axis (in proe by default axis sys is visible but is too small to use)?
