ball bearing sliders

Im trying to create some roller ball bearing slidersso i cane.g. bolt avice on 2 parallel slidersto slide it back and forth using a motor and joystick. Im pretty new to sliders and pro e in general, if anyone has some sort of tutorial for aslider mechanism or any other info or help it would be much appreciated. They need to be able to hold a stable line and have no lateral movement for the aparatus/vice will need to be very stable. If anyone can help, thanks!

I think what you are trying to do would involve a ball screw mechanism. Look up ball screws on the internet and see if this would satisfy your requirement. The motor would revolve the screw. Thus move the vise.
