What is your concern you would like to learn Pro-Engineer customization(Pro-Toolkit or J-Link)or Pro-Program? Let make yourself aware what your would like to learn and need?
What do you mean by 'code'? If it's customization, there are a lot of ways to customize Pro|E:

Configuration files (start with tools -> options, but there's a lot more you can do) control option settings for how Pro|E works. There are hundreds of options.

Config.win files (right mouse on a tool bar and select commands or toolbars to access) control the look and feel of the Pro|E window.

Mapkeys automate a sequence of commands (tools -> mapkeys)

Pro|Program, Toolkit and J-link are all much more sophisticated and powerful ways of customizing Pro|E to get it to do what you want. I'm not as familiar with them. I believe that Pro|Program operates at the model level, customizing model behavior and Toolkit and J-link operate at the application level.
[/list]
