Bending Assemblies

I am working on flex circuit. This circuit is a sandwitch of polyimide,copper and sst stiffeners. I model each layer and assemble. Usually by the time I am done there are about 4-6 layers in my sandwitch.This flex circuit now needs to be bent in a few places to attach to the next assy. Usually to do this I model each layer as a sheet metal part and bend, repeating for each layer. Very time consumming. Is there any way to bend the whole assy instead of each part to achive my goal ?

you can use layout for this kind of job. make a parameter for ben angle in layout and designate it to each part. then every time you want to change the bend angle just modify the layout value


regenerate the assembly


and done..........
