Can anyone tell me if you can do bi-folds in Pro/E?

This is where you cross fold to stiffen a large flat sheet.

If anyone can help, this would be appreciated.

there are lot of options. click on the icon 'creat flange wall' inside there is lot of ways you can add stiffners like. juss take a look if still not clear let me know. i'll post some pictures.

Sanjeev, I have very little experience with sheetmetal and could figure out how to create bi-fold.

Bi-fold is where you have a large flat sheetmetal panel and put a light crease fold fold from two diagonal opposite corners. It would look like a cross on the sheet.

Hello Sanjeev, I have had no luck working out how to do bi-fold in "create flange" function. If you can send example, this would much appreciated.

Hello Sanjeev,

You have captured exactly what I am looking, but I need to do this in sheetmetal mode. I am still yet to see any way to do this in Pro/E.

I will leave this thread going to theend of the week.

After that I will contact PTC to see if they have a method of doing this in sheetmetal mode.

this is done in sheetmetal.

you have to use form tool and for that die/punch is made of solid model

i have sent two parts one is tool and the other one is sheetmetal part. (see carefully)

great job done gamack

I use another trick. I use the command "Create a deformed area" and I sketch the triangle. So you will have the line of the deformation, but the sheetmetal wont be deformed and will remain flat.
