BOM with parts dimensions

same You do with parts names I suppose

You should add a column, insert proper parameter -&mass or &length

It must be sure the same parameters are introduced in all components

i m little confused abt BOM.. please can explain in
detail how to put BOM in drawing sheet and fill the
particulars in it...

thakns

Very Very thank you to all

But my problem is not still solve

I want to know how toget the weight and length of of each part individually in the Bom

Plz help me outI m facing lot of problem

For the mass of the parts of an assembly try &asm.mbr.PRO_MP_MASS in a column of the repeat region. Not sure about the length as I've never tried it with sheetmetal parts.

I think what you are trying to do is duplicate the handy dandy thing that SolidWorks does. It allows you to add parametric part dimensions in the part descriptions. When the part dimensions are changed, the part description updates. If this is what you are trying to do, then i am the bearer of bad news my friend, not go happen it pro/e.

One way to get this is to create a note that has the dimension names and text you want for the description. You then set the description parameter to the type note and specify the note number.

I would be doing this task in a bit different way. Instead of calling the dimension parameter in the repeat region, I would drive the length of the sheetmaetal part with a parameter say "length" and the same would be recalled in the repeat region also.

Again thank you to all of you

I don't know how to add parameters and then to call in BOM

hello anand

would you tell me how to do this in sheet metal with procedure

Are you detailing a single part or an assembly? How far have you gotten with inserting a table and creating arepeat region?

If you tried PRO_MP_MASS and nothing showed you may need to calculate mass properties in the model Edit>Setup>Mass Props.

Hi Ashish,

I have created a sample assembly and drawing for your reference. I do not have time to prepare a detailed procedure now. If you play with the drawing format and the see the paramters/relations in the part file, you should be in a position to understand the way all these are created.

One thing I forgot add in my previous post. I have added the "length" parameters in two locations; once clubbing with the description of the part and as a separate entry in the BOM table. Any one of the options can be used by you depending on the suitability.

Thank you Kdem for your

I am working on sheetmetal.I made the part in sheetmetal, after making the part i want to reflect its development length and length in the Bom

what should i do for that

is their any help over bom

One way to do it is to create an annotation element in the flat state model that is a driven dimension of the development length. You would then use annotation name in the BOM. I added to Anand's part and drawing file so you could see what I did.

Thank you KDEM & ANAND.

I end up solving that problem.

Will help me out in doing parametric modelling and relation based modelling.

is their any help available on thsis topic
