changing units

i started my first part today in wildfire 3. i want to know how to get dimensions in standard units. currently the help menu tells me to edit, setup, units. as far as i can see it is already setup for inch pounds but those are not the dimensions i get. Also on my .drw it dimensions in metric and keeps giving me limits dimensions and when all i need is nominal. What must I do to get standard inch units and i how do i get the dimensions to show up nominal.

I'm assuming your masses are not what you expect. The ProE default is the Inch lbm Sec which is mass based. My guess is you have the units set to IPS which is force based. For the drawing set dual_dimensioning to no you probably have it set to secondary andset tol_display to yes. In the filter selection box select dimension and select the dimensions using a bounding box, right mouse click>Properties and change the tolerance mode to nominal.

Actually you can try changing the config.pro to ensure that you get the proper default template and dimension settings all the time.

Actually it looks like the metric units were changed by selecting 1"=1mm. To fix this try going back to metric units and selecting 1"=1mm. Then go back to inch units and select 1"=25.4mm.
