Check in error

New member
I checked out an assembly, that I have to modify. I made modification, update parts, that I havn't changed but its workspace status was "Modified" and tried to check in modified assembly. An error: "Check in was unsuccessful. See the error log for more details." appears.Where can I find that error log or what is possible reason of that error? I made similar changes before with other assemblies without that problem.

You should be able to do a windows search for the file and find it. We use Intralink 3.4 I've had very fewcheck in problems with this version.I would start by checking the file size of your local.ddb file we found if the local.ddb file size gets 1/2 the size of your RAM we started to havecheck-in problems. If you delete your local.ddb file it will delete your workspaces and everything in them. You may have to export the modified files if you can't check them in.

you should be able to have an access to logs directly from Pro\E

I do not remmember exactly how this func was named, but it was located in Tools menu(it is true only if Pro\e has applied working PDMlink server) So in stand alone version, without PDMLink, there is no access to this menu

Remmember - if one of your components is changed so(I suppose in PDMLink 8.0 it has a blue plus,... sh*t I forgot almost all about PDMlink:((( ), you could have problem than. Usually PDMlink should cross such model with red lines in Check in menu, but it happens it does not do it. So to not have a problems while check in, try to download all models which have status modified, and which - you are sure - were not changed by you.

Try opening the modified file into ProE and make any change to it. (Usually I like just putting a datum plane somewhere.) Save it. Then undo that change. Save it. Obviously, Refresh my workspace and try checking in again.

---OR---

Create a new, empty workspace and export ONLY the modified file into that new workspace and try check-in again.
