1. can i control mesh size in mechanica?(is there any effect of aspect ratio on mesh),according to my knowledge, even if i control aspect ratio ,i am getting same results.


2.can i get reaction forces at constrained points?


3.i want to know about shell reaction force,(physical significance in software) In results window this option was given.


if i give point constraints ,it is giving concentrated stress in results , is it correct?how it can be overcome.

1. Even though you control the mess size it is not going to affect the analysis since pro-e is not using finite element analysis(FEA) It is using Geometric Element Analysis (GEA).


2. Yes you can get it. try using reaction result on the constraints applied.


3. This will be used if you are using analysis of very thin parts. usually length to thickness ratio will be from 10 to 10000.


Try to give load on surface instead of point.

You are right Deepak. Mechanica uses higher order elements (upto order 9). Thus the edges of the elements match the edges of the part. When using this type of elements, I dont think that fineness of mesh dosent matter. The order of the element is decided by the meshing engine when refining meshing.
