clipping axis

Hello,

I have the following problem. When showing axis of radial pattern, those are shown with relative size of the view scale. I know I could resize them in the model, but with pattern number of 20 or more, that's just not it. Is it possible to change size of the axes with regards to the patterned feature size?

E.g. I have radial hole pattern shown on the following picture.

Now, I don't want to have axes that big, but just a little bigger than the holes, like the following picture.

Now I have to manually resize every axis by dragginginner handles to the center and then the outer handles to the desired size. Is there any config.pro or *.dtl setting that sets the axis offset? I know there's an option of axis offset, but I didn't noticed any difference when changing it.

There are three *.dtl settings that might help you. Axis_interior_clipping when set to YES will create a "plus" sign at the center of the hole and have one "tick" each 90

Hi skraba

Right Click>Properties>Dwg Option

Here you will find thefollowing option,

axis_line_offset

set its value accordingtothe requirement

if still you feel any problem, i can send youthe *.dtl file.

I'm familiar with all three options, but no matter what value I set for axis_line_offset, the result is always the same. It's like Pro/E would have internal minimal offset for axis defined and manual setting this option to the value, lower than that internal minimal offset, would reset the value.

I don't think those settings are retro-active. You will have to set them then make a new drawing view to see the effect.

i agreed with gallop, either you should start the new drawing or make the changes in note pad file then call this file in Pro-E Drawing envoironment.

Best of luck
