color and units of a part using jlink

Hi

I have 2 questions, I hope some of you can answer

1) I'm trying to retrieve the appearence of a part in proE through jlink. Manually, I can get and set the basic color, texture mapping, etc though the menu "View/Color And Appearance". Can this somehow be accessed using jlink?

2) I can calculate the mass of a part using the pfcModel - MassProperty - getMass() function. However, I don't know which units the model is using - it might be kg or grams. Can this be accessed?

Thanks in advance,
Bjarne

As of Wildfire 3.0, you cannot access model units directly. You can get the units by exporting a model info file then opening the file and reading the units from it. I'll post an example if you need.
