color driven parameter?

is it possible in any way to get my model to read the color of my part and right a relation to be used on a drawing?

I don't know how doing this directly however you could
assign a particular material that have a particular color
then write a relation using material name.

I don't have tutorial but it's pretty simple.
I think it only works in Wildfire5.
