color maps and material files

How do I use color maps and material files.

I have downloaded a file called 'colormap_ptc.map' and don't know how to use it.

If you are using Proe 2001 then add the following configuration option to your config.pro file


pro_colormap_file valid path


If you are using Wildfire or Wildfire 2.0 then you don't need that. There is already a file appearance.dmt which works by default.


Material file is available in the download section of this forum.
