It really depends on how you are creating the pdf file.
If you are using a pdf creator like PDF995, which is effectively printed from the drawing, there is an option in the printer options of the printer driver for colour.
I don't have adobe on my machine, so I don't know how to ensure that you print in colour with it.
Just install the adobe acrobat on your machine, then go to print, after configuration ok, then on the windows printer dialog box select acrobat distiller or pdf writer as printer and ok, u will got it.
