Hi all,
does anyone knows a way to color a surface (one entity) with two different colors. like dividing the surface. I'm trying to color a surface like a chess-table for example.
regards,
chris
Make square surface and protrude them about .002". You can pattern them and now you can pick the new surface and addcolor. The start surface can be picked and add color.
thnx jeff, this is a sly way what if you have more complicated surfaces, like a fuselage. I'm modelling this aircraft: View attachment 3780 regards,

You can project a surface(s) onto you aircraft. Then you apply colors to the projected surface. By the looks of it, you have a fun time doing it.
I still think it would be easier to small protrusions or revolves of .002" height. The nose will be tricky. If you had a color map/decal you could apply this to the nose.
