Control of File Storage

Is there a way to configure Pro-E so that it will only store the last few saved instances of a part? No matter how much I try toremember to delete old versions of parts, Istill wind up with tons of old, irrelevant files being stored on our server. Is there a config option that would make it so that only the last few instances are saved?

No, there is no config option. Your best bet is to setup a purge program and run it every night.

I made a mapkey to deal with some of this, it saves the part and deletes all the old versions. I also backup one version i like to a seperate directory for a saved stage copy.

Thanks for the tips. I wound up downloading Spekan Purge. It's nice, it gives you a number of options for purging and deleting files. Now I'm set up to purge automatically every morning, and I can choose how many copiesof each file to keep, whether I want to delete certain types of files, etc..
