Hi All....Can we convert an excel file as a table in proe drawing?

In Detail:- I have a table done in excel. Can we get the same data as table in drawing.

Vivek

I have imported excel spread sheets into drawings and used them like a table, you can open them and edit them with excell then update the drawing. I don't know of a way to pull information from an excel spread sheet into a table. I can see a lot of use for this though.

I have looked into my old Pro/e notes and I found following

Using Excel to create tables for Pro/Drawing

An MS Excel file can be saved in a format such that the information in each column is lined up. It is also possible to modify the spreadsheet in Excel such that the text appears within cells, as it would in MS Excel format.

In the existing MS Excel spreadsheet, add the following columns:

 1.
Add a column to the left of the existing columns, and enter @[ preceded by a single quote.

Between each column of text, enter @]@[ preceded by a single quote.

Add an extra column to the right of the existing columns, and enter @] preceded by a single quote.

Save the file as a space delimited (*.prn) file, and then modify the file name to have a (*.txt) extension. This text file can then be used in a drawing note, by selecting #detail; #create; #note; using the #file option.

hope it make sense

Hi Per,

Your explaination is not entirely clear to me. Can you kindly post a sample MS Excel file?
