How do you copy a feature from one part to another? I have a box with a recess for a lid and I want to use the geometry from the box to draw the lid?

make an assy file and assemble your box. now assemble anew empty part only with datum planes. Activate that empty part andset ur selection filter to geometry if u have solid part or quilts if u have surfaces, then go to edit>>copy>>paste then select as much surfaces as u need by pressing control, and u done. now activate assy and save it. close it and open that part and do modifications.
