Copying data from ProTable

Here's a question for you all...

Can you copy data from ProTable (ie patterning data) from one part to another. I know you can create a new part (save as) and the table will be there, but what I would prefer is to open the pattern table in Part A, copy the data and then start a new pattern table in Part B and simply paste the data into the new table.

Which leads me to another question. Do you have to use ProTable as the pattern editor, is it possible to change a config and use Excel instead?

(I am hoping that, for the first question, someone will tell me that this can be done in WF3 and not that it will be something that PTC are promising for WF4... I'm begining to think that that is PTC standard reply to all enhancement queries)

Hi prohammy

It is really usefull command and I am using from 2001

Step 1
When you create table you must save.

Step 2
In WF1, go to edit and click pattern table.
Step 3

Then right click your table and show the path of your already defined table it with extension .ptb

Then activate it. ( write click)

Step 4
Regenerate.

Hope this will help you
