I need to copy a feature (revolved cut) and paste many copies at random locations defined by axes in the model. The pattern tool and paste special tools don't seem to provide this functionality. Any ideas?
you should creat the feature to be patterened in such a way that all the references are available and are in same orientation/can be used referencesin all the positions of the instances. since you need to create instances at random locations you may go for table pattern.
copy and paste special should allow you to place in any place. please read the messages prompts and follow the as pro/E guides you.
