copying of views to other sheet

hi guys,


i need to copy the drawing views, along with dimensions to other sheet.


i need to make different dimension scheme, in other sheet is that posible to copy views with dimensions


is there any trick to do this.....

I think, pro-e wont let you to copy the drawing views along with the dimensions to the other sheet. But you can move the drawing view with the dimensions to the other sheet.


If you needanother copy of same drawing view in the different sheet, you have to insert new drawing view in the another sheet and dimension it. I hope I am not making any senseless.

Yes you can, here's how:


Save a copy of your drawing.


In your original drawing:


Insert>Shared Data>From File.


Insert your copied drawing.


All sheets from original drawing will be replicated along with all the views. Delete any sheets from the inserted drawing that you no longer require.


Dimensions shown are not retained although can easily be shown again using Show and Erase.

pjw is absolutely correct. I do that all the times. Another plus, it will copy all of the layer rules.

It might be easier to delete the sheets in your copied drawingbefore inserting.
