hi,

Plzadvise how to create a countersink and counterbore using hole option. I have tried an example from pro-e tutorials(starter) and am getting error.

thanks in advance.

When creating a hole, you can pick "standard" or "sketched". If you want a standard hole with c-sink and/or c-bore, Proe will put the thread in automatically.

Make sure that the depth of the thread is shallower than the depth of the hole. If you do not want the thread as part of the feature, create the hole as a "sketched" hole.

Make sure that you only sketch 1/2 of the hole. This is treated as a "revolve". Everything has to be on one side of the "axis of revolution". After defining the standard, or sketched hole, select placement. Either coaxil or from datums.

Can I set the shape to countersink/counterbore on standard hole (not tapped)?

Compare using a countersink sketch with hole then chamfer, which one is better?
