create model from image

I have a boss who wants to create a desk top paper weight of an old coin. I have read the post about modeling a nickel. I just need to create a stl file so I can send this to the shop to create it onthe 3d printer. It does not need to be parmeteric. I have traced over an image before to create a model but that was much simpler. Is there an automatic way to create depth from a bump map (grey scale)? I am on wf 3.0 Thanks!

Is the easy button from staples real?

You can import the image as a viewing reference however you will have to do the work to create the 3d model, unless you have a scanning device that is accurate that can interpret the data to create an stl.
