Create surface on entire part

HI,


I need to assign different colors for the same part model so that i can have different color looks for a presentation.


Learnt that color can be given as a parameter in the family table by creating a surface covering the entire part model.


Ques: How do you create a surface over the entire part model??? Which commands are used for this operation???


Please help...

To make it easier - change your selection filter to 'GEOMETRY'.

Select a surface on your part, Right click -> Solid Surfaces, Copy -> Paste (which creates a surface set of your entire model).

i tried your method and it worked great. got to try it in a family table. its also a very simple solution which is awesome.
