Creating Accessable Text/Lines in Format

I'm trying to create a text or line entity in my FRM file so that it can be accessed when I load the format to create a drawing. In the drawing, I'm only able to access text within fields; every other entity cannot be selected, copied, or moved when the drawing is opened.

For example, if I create the text: "1" as a notation in the FRM file, the "1" will show up in the drawing, but I cannot access this text while I am composing it. Similarly, if I draw a line, box, or graphic entity in the FRM file, it is visible but locked when I create a drawing using the format.

Is there a way to unlock these entities so they may be accessed in the drawing? I want to create a small group of commonly used 2D graphics, easily accessible when creating a drawing.

Thanks in advance for help.

Items like that should be in a drawing template or depending on what exactlyit's for it might be better as a symbol.
