creating drawing template from scratch?

Hello,

I have been trying to create a standard drawing template for a university project. I cannot find a way to draw a 10 mm border around the edges with a title block in the bottom right hand corner. My problem is i dont know how to make the lines snap to verticle and perpendicular and how to dimension them to be 10mm from the page border!. I have not had much experience with pro engineer specifically the drawing component.

any help or advice would help

thank-you

When you create a new format there are some standard sheet sizes. A0 thru A4 are metric and A thru F are english (see first picture). If you are creating a custom sheet size select variable from the Orientation. To offset the border select the offset tool on the toolbar, Ent Chain from the dialog (seesecond picture), select the four sheet extentlines, select okay, and you will be asked for an offset distance. Some other options that will help out are the grid which is found under View>Draft Grid, the snap preferences are found under Sketch>Sketcher Preferences, and trim commands are found under Edit>Trim.

The easiest way is to draw them in a decent 2D drafting package like AutoMAD and import them. Pro/E's 2D tools are very weak by comparison. It can be done entirely in Pro/E if you have the patience.
