Creating parameter for use in note

Hi,
I have a simple drawing showing a floorplan consisting of a shaped surface.
I need to make a drawing with a note indicating the area, therefore I need a parameter for the area.

In the model analysis/ model/ area, change from quick to feature [or saved], look at feature tab and the parameter create box will be checked, accept this and close. Look into tools/ parameters and the expected AREA is not there. Have I missed something?

thanks

you have to change the "look in" filter to "feature" and then select the analysis feature from the feature tree.changing the "filter by" to "current and all sub features/levels" does the same thing. and if you want to reference this parameter, you have to use the format:
AREA:FID_#
with # being the ID of the analysis feature in the model tree.
