Creating Relation.Parameter Driven Parts

New@ProE

New member
I would like to learn how to write/create Relation/Parameter Driven Parts. Ifthere are any Tutorials or "How to" Helpful Links available, I would very much appreciate any suggestions or guidence.

Thank you,

Start with a pad of paper and a pencil.....

You need to get your concept and relations defined before trying to create your parts in Pro/E (or any CAD system).

Thats really good advice Looslib,

i always have a stack of conceptual sketches, parameter names, equations etc,

b4 starting.

At times my desk is littered with free hand sketches.

Tools > Program > Edit Design

INPUT
BASKET_WIDTH NUMBER
END INPUT

RELATIONS

/*TANK WIDTH
D10=BASKET_WIDTH+100

Simple example. When you regenerate now you will be asked to input the basket width. the tank width (d10) will then be the basket width + 100.

A very simple example :)
