Creating Start Parts/Templates

I am setting up a dept. to use Pro/E more effectively. I want to makeitso that when a part or assembly are created it has certain parameters in it that drive the BOM in the drawing. Without a lot of detail how do I create a template to load these parameters each time?

Template parts & assemblies are just ordinary parts & assemblies that you save in a special directory. Use the config.pro setting start_model_dir to tell Pro/E where to look for them. Create the default features, parameters, units, named views, etc in each file.

Drawing templates are a little different as you have to start a new drawing then go to applications/template to change it into a template drawing. At that point you can insert template views etc.
