Creo files version

Hello all,

I am relatively new to creo and still finding my way around. But I noticed a problem which I did not face before.

I cannot see the file version of creo in Windows explorer. I can see the file extension but not the version number.
eg.

What I see
Model1.prt
Model1.prt

What I can't see
Model1.prt.1
Model1.prt.2

If I right click and go to properties of the particular file, I can see the version number there. But that is a huge pain when you have a ton of file versions.

Also, I can't seem to purge older versions of files when I try to "Delete all old version" from the menu. I suspect this could be related to the above problem, but I could be wrong. Don't know whether these are two problems because of one reason or are totally independent problems.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks!

Go into your windows explorer tools/folder options/view and uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.
