Curvature display in ISDX

Huug

New member
When fiddling with curves in ISDX I'd like to see te curvature of them. But most of the time the curvature line shows a very long distance from the line and the part. Zooming out is the only option, then zooming back and edit again.

I know that with curves in Pro/surface (for example through points, not ISDX) the curvature is standard too small (value 1).It needs for me a value of 10, 20, 50 or even 100 or more.

So in ISDX the value is to high and not adjustable, in Pro/Surface to small but adjustable. Is there any clue to change this? A config option maybe?

I'm still working in 2001, and I didn't get a hint it has improved in wildfire. I can image that the curvature should have a value that is relative to the size of the curve or the part, like datum planes.

Hi Huug,

In Pro/E there are two curvature analysis settings:

1. For checking the cuvatures of any curves/entities created in Pro/E. This is available in analysis>curve analysis>curvature. And within this dialog box itself you can set your display prefrences.

2. Toset the curvaturepreference in Proe/E 2001 ISDX you can do it in Utilities>styling preferences.

Huug,

Just an addition to the above....

Point no. 2 is done when you are in the styling mode and is independent of standard modeling mode (analysis preference).
