Curve from data points file

All,

I am trying to create a curve based upon a file of X,Y,Z data points that I have in .txt format currently. In UG I can change the extension of the .txt file to a .dat file and create a curve from file in about 2 seconds...I can't figure out how to do this in Pro. I am using 2001 for this part but will also need to be able to do this in WF 2.0 as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance!

I believe this is called an .ibl file. If you run a search on the help file you should come up with an Example.

If you've got an old set of manuals from v18, I believe there was a
manual dealing with input/output formats. The whole format was detailed
in that manual.

You need a .pts extension. Pasted below is a sample format copied from an actual file output from ProE. One note, you are limited to less than 100 pts per file. I have aready whined about that.

!
! DATUM POINT ARRAY DATA FILE
!
! Comment lines should begin with an exclamation mark (!).
! You may have as many comment lines as you wish.
! There must be at least one space between values.
!
! Enter values with respect to datum arrays' coordinate system:
!
!CARTESIAN coordinates:
! X Y Z

Thanks for all the help. I was actually able to overcome the limit of 100 points by selecting -->Insert Datum Point -->Offset Csys -->Without Dims -->Read Points. I appreciate the replies.
