Cut-away view

Does anyone know how I can cut away a small portion of a part in an assembly view to show what is inside of it?

Define cut in assembly model and inculude the components of the model u want to see the details.

Cut in assembly is same like in part modeling except the selection of components u want to add.

Try and enjoy the inner detaials of assemblies.

Or, create a offset x-sec in your assembly.

Doing this, you can show a 3D view in your drawing with a partial cut-out.

Kind ragards,

You could also color the part or surfaces of the part with a "transparent" color. The only drawback is that you'll likely have to make the entire part transparent, unless you have a couple of surfaces that happen to lay in the area youare trying to show.
