Cuts with drafts

So look a stapler base - it is a die cast part with a draft, the bottom (once you take the rubber off) is hollow with some ribs, etc. in it.

If I was using my old software I would make a second solid with a draft and subtract it from the main solid. Shell doesn't work because its not really a shell.

Is there any boolean subtract available in Pro-E?

Yes. Create that second-solid-with-draft as a surface with capped ends. Then "solidify" it, as a cut. In 2001: #cut, use quilt

Thats good to know. I actually did something else that worked. I created a square cut (no draft) and than I was able to draft the cut surfaces. I wonder if I could have drafted the whole thing - I think I'll try that now.
