Decal - Problem loading images

I have been having issues with loading files as "decals" to place on a spherical surface. Everytime I try to add a new jpg ProE comes back with this message "Failed to load image file : D:\documents\NS2D5.jpg" I have tried reducing the size of the image as well as trying different formats. When I convert the image to a tiff I get all the details but I lose the color (it gets washed out). When I convert the file to a tx4 it has the same results.

Is there a limit to how many different decals you can have in the apperance editor library?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Bad Knees,

We get our decals saved as .png file. We also save the file name of the decal exactly the same as the part file name. Eg. ABC.PRT and ABC.PNG

What program do you use to convert the file over to the PNG format?

Hi

Adobe illustrator, not sure if any other program can do this format.

FYI, I just discovered that you can not put these decals on at an assembly level, it has to be a part level.
