Delete Old Versions of File

Hi,

How can I delete all the old versions of a file (solid model) I have created? When I try the File>Delete>Old Versions, Proe tells me my part does not exist in the database. The files in question are located on my company's network, not on my local hard drive. But when I try and set the working directory to the network folder (File>Select Working Directory), the window does not contain any options for network folders. Even the "Favorites" link does not take me to the folder I want (and the folder is set as one of my favorites).

Anyone know how I can a) set my working directory to a network folder, or b) find another way to non-manually delete all the old versions of a file?

Thanks,

Aaron

I don't know why you can't change your working directory to where your part is but there is another option. Open a system window (DOS prompt), change to the directory where the part file is and run the "purge" command. It will delete every old version of every Pro/E file in the directory.

Strange. All of my network drives are available. You realise you can bring the whole folder tree into view, check the bottom of the window and you will see Show All Folders ?

I wish that you could open an assembly and select delete older versions, and not only should it delete all older assy versions but also all the older part files too.
