Detailed View scale format

Hey all, am trying to change the view note scale format from 1.000 to 1:1. Any ideas on how to do this.

Have got all the obvious drawing setup options set to ration_colon type.

Pat

Hey Char, did that in the dtl file file however it is still the same- made the change in the dtl file and also in the active drawing setup still no change to the drawing.

Pat

That's strange. What version are you using? I'm on 2001.

I don't know if it is different on WF.

On 2001, Advanced > Draw Setup and change and it works.

Charles

hey charles, the problem was that the dtl option view_scale_denominator was set to "0" as default. This has to be set to "1" for the 1:1 type scale appear.

strange but true!!!!

Pat

It is not that strange.
The numbers that the value that is assigned to view_scale_denominator can be divided by are allowed as scale values.
E.g. : if you have view_scale_denominator set to 50
50 can be divided by 1 so 1:1 is allowed.
50 can be divided by 2 so 1:2 is allowed
50 can not be divided by 3 so 1:3 is not allowed
50 can not be divided by 4 so 1:4 is not allowed
50 can be divided by 5 so 1:5 is allowed
and so on ...

Best regards,

John

Thanks for that John.

Would you also be able to help me populating my BOM. I have a part level parameter that I am trying to pull into the repeat reagion. Using asm.mbr.cparam.parameter_name. But it just aint working.

Any more resolutions to some strangeness???

Pat

Suppose your part level parameter is
ordercode
you can try to enter the following in the table
&asm.mbr.ordercode

Now you can create the repeat region and define the attributes (e.g. no duplicates, ...) for it.

Best regards,

John
