dim x,y value ?!

Hi friends !!
I'm working as mold designer, i design in pro/e and make a drawing in autocad, but now i want to to use pro/e for all. so in dimension, can pro/e make like this. this example i made by autocad, i use autolisp to make it automatically, it show the x, y value of holes. please show me in pro/e, thanks for reading.

In drawing mode you could use Insert>Coordinate Dimension. This uses already created dimesions to make a x,y dimension. So you would use a normal dimension to the the smaller hole from the larger hole in the x and y direction. Then create a Coordinate Dimension and select the previous dims. Those disappear and you end up with an x,y dim. Only problem is that it's not in the format you want and is surrounded by a box. You may be able to find a setting that controls this and anyway I'm running US standards.

Another option is to create a symbol where you can enter an x and y dimension.

Most of the companies I've worked for have used Hole Tables which are very easy to create in Pro/E. Points can be used in Hole Tables so you just attach points where you want it to read x/y values from.

Jason, thanks for your help !! i think so, using a hole table may be the best choice, so i will try to make it, by the way, how can you show the dimension Z of any holes, because, in mold plate, there is alot of hole kind, etc .. M, Guide oin hole, or something, and how to show them more detail just only by hole chart. Thanks alot !!

Some customization can be done to the table and I think you can add your own columns for other information. As long as you have used the 'Hole' feature instead of a extruded cut in Pro/E you should end up with a hole table something like this.

Also, another option may be to use Ordinate Dimensions.

Jason,

I don't know if you did it this way but you can have the hole depth column fill in automatically by creating a feature parameters for the holesin the model anddefining relations so the parameter values change if thedepth of the holeschange.

Yeah, the command needs a littlemore flexibility from what I remember. It's been a few years since I've had to create one myself and I do remember there being some trickery involved with getting them set up the way most people want to see them. That pic is from a PTC web page.
